NEW YORK, NY
St Giles Hotel Group has announced it will temporarily close The Tuscany Hotel to undertake a complete hotel renovation. The property will be closed on February 11, 2012 and is set to re-open sometime in the third quarter of 2012.
St Giles Hotel New York is comprised of two side-by-side properties, the Tuscany and the Court, which were acquired last year from Starwood Hotels & Resorts and previously flagged as W Hotels. The Tuscany offers 120 guestrooms and suites, some with terraces and patios that look out onto landmark sites, along with oversized living areas, spacious baths and walk-in closets. The hotels were originally built in 1927 as apartments and later converted to hotels in the 1950s. The properties’ unique structure enables them to offer some of the city’s largest hotel rooms and suites with standard guestrooms averaging nearly 500 square feet of space.
Its sister property next door, the Court, features 199 guestrooms and suites, with some of the largest guestrooms in New York City measuring 475 – 875 square feet of space. The two buildings feature several meeting spaces for small groups.
