Alex Filiatrault was appointed director of sales and marketing for the Shangri-La hotel,Toronto. The Toronto locaiton is scheduled to open in summer 2012 and will be the second hotel in North America for the Asian-based luxury hotel group.
Filiatrault has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry and he comes to Shangri-La from the Four Seasons Hotel, Toronto, where he led the sales team for seven years. He has also held roles at Tourism Montreal, Omni, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and the International Sales Office at Palais de Congres in Paris.
