  • Construction has begun on the 127-room Hyatt Place Hotel (850.934.3609; www.airportand12th.com) at the Pensacola Gulf Coast Regional Airport.

Emerald Coast

  • The Emerald Coast’s Northwest Florida Regional Airport (850.651.7160; www.flyvps.com) recently welcomed service from Vision Airlines, with destinations including Louisville and Atlanta.

South Walton

  • The Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa (850.267.9500; www.sandestinbeachhilton.com) recently completed a $6.5 million renovation that included remodeled meeting spaces, new deck areas and a new beachside restaurant and bar.

Panama City Beach

  • The Marriott Bay Point rebranded as the Wyndham Bay Point Resort (850.236.6000; www.wyndham.com), with upcoming renovations to include flat-panel TVs, new linens and carpeting, and wireless Internet access in all rooms.

Tallahassee

  • Tallahassee will welcome Four Points by Sheraton Tallahassee Downtown this April (850.508.6576; www.fourpoints.com). The new property will feature 164 guest rooms and 7,100 square feet of meeting space, as well as 10,000 square feet of exterior prefunction space, including a garden patio and expansive pool deck.
  • Florida State University recently unveiled the new Augustus B. Turnbull Florida State Conference Center (850.644.3801; http://conference.fsu.edu), with 47,000 square feet of meeting space and what is touted as the largest video wall in the U.S.
