Terry Haney will serve as general manager for Inn at the Presidio, which is expected to open in April, and will be the first hotel in San Francisco’s Presidio. Haney has more than 28 years of experience in the hospitality industry and served as director of operations during the opening of the W San Francisco. Most recently Haney worked as the general manager of Hotel Rex.
Colorado
Bruce James, managing partner of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, a leading law and policy firm headquartered in Denver, was appointed chair of the Denver CVB for 2012. James represents hospitality industry companies in his legal career and is familiar with the hotel, leisure, golf and ski industries. He joins four other new members on the Visit Denver executive committee.
Washington
Kate Kurkjian joined the Seattle CVB as director of convention services. Kurkijan is a CMP and formerly served as the director of conference services for Columbia Hospitality, a Seattle-based management and consulting company. She also previously worked as convention services manager for the Fairmont San Francisco.
