Meeting professionals now have green meetings and event standards for audiovisual, communication and marketing materials, destinations, exhibits, food and beverage, on-site offices and transportation.
The CIC’s Accepted Practices Exchange and the American Society for Testing and Materials International published seven of nine standards.
The standards, conceived by the Green Meetings Industry Council, address staff management and environmental policy, communications, waste, energy, air quality, water and procurement, as well as community partners.
