SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts has announced the upcoming completion of multi-million dollar renovations on two of its hotels, in Vancouver and Mississauga. Reservations are now being accepted for the new TownePlace Suites Mississauga – Airport Corporate Centre and the Residence Inn by Marriott Vancouver Downtown, the first branded, designated extended-stay hotel in the city. Both hotels are now taking reservations for August 2012 and beyond including a special pre-opening group rate for groups of 10 or more.

TownePlace Suites Mississauga – Airport Corporate Centre is currently undergoing a $17 million transformation (the property is the former Sandalwood Suites Hotel Toronto Airport). The 173-room all-suite hotel is designed to meet the needs of the growing segment of “do-it-yourself” travelers. The hotel specializes in delivering services that helps guests settle in to the Greater Toronto area.
Residence Inn by Marriott Vancouver Downtown, located on Hornby Street, is currently undergoing a $25 million transformation (the property is the former Cascadia Hotel and Suites). The 201-room all-suite hotel is designed to provide travelers with everything they need to thrive on longer stays with special features including enhanced work desks, ergonomically designed chairs and luxury bedding.
