In addition to a recent update to its event space and guest rooms, the New Orleans Marriott is expanding its offerings for groups by adding the option to take a cooking class with the hotel’s acclaimed Executive Chef, Mark Quitney.
Available for lunch or dinner for groups of 20–100 people, the cooking class provides guests a chance to learn how to incorporate New Orleans flavors in their meals at home. Classes can be customized depending on the size and budget of the group and range from $45 - $90 per guest.
The class includes:
• A cocktail toast
• Salad preparation with fresh vegetables and herbs
• Flavorful dish creation with Gulf Coast seafood
• Dessert instruction lead by the hotel’s in-house pastry chef
• Wine pairing with each course
• Take-home option of a cookbook, apron, paring knife and a lagniappe of chocolates
Attendees will be learning from an award-winning team of culinary experts who recently took home Best Traditional Gumbo at the Got Gumbo cook-off for the second year in a row.
