Welcome to the first issue of spring. There’s lots happening around here at Meetings Focus, as we spring forward into what may be the busiest part of our year. Busy is good.
Besides covering five destinations in this issue—six, if you count the “Close-Up: Columbia” piece written by new Editorial Assistant Audrey Arthur—we’re gearing up for our annual Meetings Focus Guide and the first edition of Meetings Focus International.
But getting back to our April edition, check out a standout piece on Galveston, Texas, which never really regained its stature following the disastrous flood of 1900. From what we’ve learned, though, the town has embarked on a mission to regain its glory as “The Playground of the South” by adding the Historic Pleasure Pier and other attractions to amp up the fun and sun.
