Twenty-four states have full-service Native American casino operations: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Iowa, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Only eight of those states have commercial casino competition: Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Nevada and South Dakota. There is regional competition from commercial casinos in seven additional states: Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
