‘Green’ Eggs and Ham?

A special workshop is coming to Phoenix this April geared at helping planners and suppliers improve their efforts towards more sustainable Food & Beverage.

Food and beverage are basic components of most events. Suppliers and planners have an immediate opportunity to make events more environmentally sustainable.

To help guide your efforts, planners and suppliers can rely on the APEX/ASTM standards.  These standards—developed in conjunction with the Convention Industry Council's APEX initiative and ASTM, a standards organization—set a path toward more environmentally sustainable events.

A workshop on ASTM 2773 which specifies the Evaluation and Selection of Food and Beverage for Environmentally Sustainable Meetings, Events, Trade Shows and Conferences will be offered in Phoenix on Tuesday, April 17.

Planners in attendance will learn the requirements for environmentally sustainable meetings – actions for planner and suppliers; grasp how to position RFPS and contracts to discern which suppliers can support a green meeting; and have a chance to start the dialogue with suppliers now so they are ready.

The workshop will take place at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel, 340 N. 3rd St.
