Name Badges Debut Sans Plastic or Adhesive

NEW YORK

Badgetec has introduced a new clip-on Name Badge System that provides both round and rectangular name badges worn without the need for plastic holders. The name badges are made as diecut sheets of thick cardstock or polyester which can be laser or inkjet printed like traditional name badge inserts. Each name card (round or rectangular) has a slot at its top for attaching Badgetec’s new plastic clip (Contour Clip) or a lanyard.

The Contour Clip fastens to the badge through the slot and directly to an individual’s garment. The plastic clip attaches like a large “paperclip” - safely clamping over the edge of the fabric. Because it does not have sharp metal teeth or pins, it is clothing-safe and child-safe. The Contour Clip is reusable and recyclable.  By eliminating the plastic holders, both the cardstock badges and polyester badges are 100% recyclable.

The Contour Clips have received praise by women,  who have used them, ccording to Badgetec, when compared to traditional pins and metal clips.  They employ a newly patented mechanical design which attaches easily and firmly to almost all garments.  Badgetec’s cardstock badges are very low cost and sufficiently durable for one or two day events.  Superstong polyester badges are waterproof and almost “indestructible” for longer tradeshows.

The number one badge complaint from meeting attendees, according to Badgetec, is their dislike for adhesive label name badges because of the potential damage to garments.  In particular, women dislike attaching adhesive labels to their blouses.
