California

  • Susan Bellamy was appointed social media and marketing manager at Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside. She will be responsible for positioning the 238-room hotel and engaging developing new audiences via both traditional marketing and new social media strategies. Bellamy brings 15 years of sales and marketing experience to the position, as well as familiarity with inland Southern California.

  • Dane Gorup was appointed director of food and beverage at the Hilton Anaheim. In addition to managing daily operations, he will be tasked with raising the profile of the property’s three dining venues. Gorup brings 16 years of experience to this position. He joined the Hilton Anaheim in 1995 as restaurant manager and previously served as the hotel’s director of catering, overseeing the department’s $14 million revenue.

Mexico

  • Wyndham’s Grand Bay Hotel at Isla Navidad Resort on Mexico’s Pacific coast appointed Adrián Schjetnan director of sales and marketing. Schjetnan brings more than 30 years of Mexican tourism industry experience to this position. He most recently served as director of sales and marketing for the Los Cabos CVB and will now lead marketing for the the 199-room Grand Bay Hotel as well as the nearby marina, golf course and boutique hotel.

Nevada

  • Rossi Ralenkotter, president and CEO of the Las Vegas CVA, began his term as national chair of the U.S. Travel Association, which aims to increase both domestic and international travel. He hopes to emphasize the importance of meetings and conventions to the U.S. economy and improve the country’s travel infrastructure. Ralenkotter has more than 40 years of travel and tourism industry experience and previously served as a delegate to the White House Conference on Tourism.
