Omni Hotels & Resorts has joined forces with eMarketing360 to design, develop and pilot a new, customized meeting planner mobile application, optimized for the iPad. The mobile app was created for meeting planners to use while conducting meetings at the luxury hotel brand. While built for iPads, the tool can also be used across various mobile devices. Not only does it eliminate the need for reams of paper, it will help planners expedite a number of activities from menu and floorplan reviews to session changes and environmental requests. The mobile app, which works via an iPad supplied to the planner when they arrive at the hotel or they can use their own device, is pre-loaded with the details for the specific meeting, including BEOs, group resume, agendas and interactive floor plans. Meeting planners can simply tap a few buttons to make a request of the Omni team.

Omni worked with its Customer Advisory Board of top meeting planning professionals across the U.S. to gain a thorough review of what meeting planners truly need from an on-hand, mobile tool. Based on their input and feedback, eMarketing360 responded with a customized set of options for the brand. A pilot was deployed at the Omni Mandalay Hotel this spring. The brand will continue to rollout the tool through the remainder of the year at their largest meetings-focused properties, including the new Omni Dallas Hotel, the Omni Fort Worth Hotel and the Omni Amelia Island Plantation in the coming months. It will be deployed across Omni’s collection of convention hotels across the brand by year end.
