Close-Up: Berlin - Getting There

Getting there: Berlin is a 100-minute flight from London, a one-hour flight from Paris and a four-hour train ride from Frankfurt. Delegates can reach Berlin via rail by using the InterCityExpress, InterCity, EuroCity and InterRegio trains. The central station Berlin Hauptbahnhof serves the heart of Berlin, and all train stations are well connected to the public transportation system.

Major airport: The new city-like Berlin-Brandenburg Airport, scheduled for a late 2012 opening, will include its own six-platform train station, new freeway access and 20-minute shuttle connections to the main city.
