Downtown Napa’s Avia hotel will change its name to Andaz Napa in September, according to various news reports.
The hotel was purchased by Hyatt Hotels in 2011 and is located at 1450 First St. Aiming for a chic and sophisticated ambience, the property intends to bypass the typical front desk experience; instead, hosts will greet guests in the Andaz Lounge and invite them to check-in via iPads, at a tabletop computer, or while walking to their room.
The lobby is being reworked into a lounge showcasing rustic furnishings and an expansive map of the Napa Valley. The Andaz Farmer’s Table restaurant and the Mercantile Social lounge will present produce sourced from a community garden and regional Northern California vendors.
The property is a 141-room boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Napa, conveniently located just minutes from gourmet dining options, galleries, shopping and 15 local tasting rooms. Meeting and event offerings include three distinct and versatile venues, complete audio visual services, innovative personalized menus and complimentary Wi-Fi.
