Cincinnati Area
- Boutique hotel 21c (513.578.6600; www.21cmuseumhotels.com), the third of its brand, is scheduled to open in late 2012. The property will be located in the restored Metropole Building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The $56 million property will offer 160 guest rooms and 8,000 square feet of art exhibition space available for events.
- Two Hilton (www.hilton.com) hotels are planned for a redevelopment of the historic downtown Cincinnati Enquirer Building. Operated by SREE Hotels LLC, the properties are scheduled to include 238 guest rooms and 12,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor.
- The 486-room Hyatt Regency Cincinnati (513.579.1234; www.hyatt.com) will undergo a $17 million renovation starting in late 2012. The property has more than 33,000 square feet of meeting space.
- Sharonville Convention Center (513.771.7744; www.sharonvilleconventioncenter.com) completed a major expansion and renovation in April. Upgrades included new technology, registration areas and ticket counters. The LEED Silver center offers 65,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space for up to 1,000.
- A 123-room Courtyard Marriott (www.marriott.com) is slated to open in March 2013 in uptown, just off of Interstate 71.
Mason/Dayton
- Kings Island (513.754.5700; www.visitkingsisland.com) added Soak City Waterpark for the 2012 season. Kings Island comprises 364 acres and more than 80 rides, including 13 roller coasters. It can accommodate groups of nearly any size.
- The 291-room Crowne Plaza Dayton (937.224.0800; www.crowneplaza.com) recently completed a $5 million renovation. Attached to the Dayton Convention Center, the property offers 12,000 square feet of meeting space.
- The 95-room Hampton Inn Dayton Mall (937.439.1800; www.hilton.com) recently opened with one meeting room.
- The newly opened Hilton Garden Inn Dayton Beavercreek (937.458.2650; www.hilton.com) offers 145 guest rooms and 4,018 square feet of meeting space.
- The Beach Waterpark (www.adventurelanding.com) will be operated by Adventure Holdings LLC for the 2013 season. The new operator is planning significant renovations to the 35-acre park, which offers 50 rides and attractions.
Columbus area
- The 532-room Hilton Columbus Downtown (614.384.8631; www.hilton.com) is set to open in this fall. The property, located across the street from the Greater Columbus Convention Center, will offer 30,650 square feet of meeting space.
