Describe your event. Our week-long event in May was for a major insurance company customer, including their top brokers along with their spouses or significant others. We had 112 attendees in all.
Why did you choose Scotland? Because of our extensive history of successful programs there and our love for the country, its people and the Gleneagles resort.
Which organizations did you work with to organize the event? We worked with Gleneagles directly along with our DMC, Allied International.
Did you encounter any challenges while in Scotland? We did not. Everything went as planned—and the weather was great.
What did your attendees enjoy most about Scotland? The scenic beauty, the warm hospitality and the charming history—and Gleneagles. The group responded very well to Scotland as a destination. Many left saying it was their best trip ever there!
What unique off-site venues did you use for events? We lunched at the Dome in Edinburgh and organized a great evening event at the Glenturret Distillery in Perthshire. For our farewell gathering, we had a phenomenal dinner at Stirling Castle, with the men in kilts and the ladies in sashes.
What interesting activities did you incorporate into the agenda? We utilized all of the numerous activities at Gleneagles, as well as touring Edinburgh, St. Andrews and the Scottish Highlands.
Would you organize another event in Scotland? Absolutely! We are already working on several more gatherings for the future.
