What are three ways to incorporate Bollywood into a meeting program?
Movie Studio Visit: Although estimates vary, India produces more movies—more than 1,000 per year—than any other nation. There are film studios throughout the country, but Mumbai serves as home to Bollywood, the most famous locale for Indian filmmaking. Bollywood studios are scattered throughout the Mumbai area, and we take them to different studios, depending on where filming is going on.
Kingdom of Dreams: Groups meeting in New Delhi may want to consider the Kingdom of Dreams, which opened in suburban Gurgaon two years ago. This is a live show based on Bollywood themes and songs, and we can do a private performance. The 800-seat theater is designed in grand-palace style. Groups can see a show and also have dinner in Culture Gulley. The culinary attraction has pavilions serving the cuisine of 14 of India’s states, and each pavilion is designed to represent the culture of that state. Live street performers provide entertainment and an arts-and-crafts village insures interesting shopping.
Bollywood Theme Party: We can create the Bollywood theme for an event in any hotel banquet room. We can base the theme on old Bollywood movies, using props. These props may be cutouts of stars and stills from movies, as well as posters, and we can show film clips and play Bollywood hit theme songs. People can put on old-fashioned Indian clothing to carry out the theme.
