South Korea is home to a number of meetings-ready cities with modern convention centers. Here’s a look at some of the most popular group destinations and primary gathering venues.

Seoul Convention and Exhibition Center (COEX)
COEX is Seoul’s principle convention facility. This IT-based convention center offers high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the venue, as well as information for meeting participants provided via GPS.

Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX), Goyang, Gyeonggi Province
Known primarily for its historical sites, such as the Suwon Hwaseong Fortress and the Korean Folk Village, Gyeonggi-do Province is also home to numerous Korean conglomerates, such as Samsung, making it a convenient location for international programs.

Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO)
Busan is home to Korea’s largest seaport, which is also the fourth-largest container port in the world. The BEXCO Convention Center is located in the popular Haeundae Beach resort area, and the facility serves up world-class beach views.

Daegu, Daegu Exhibition Convention Center (EXCO)
Daegu, the country’s third-largest city, is well-known for its textile, machinery, metals and automotive component industries. Daegu was the first city in South Korea to establish a cooperative system between the city’s administration, the convention bureau and the convention center.

International Convention Center Jeju (ICC Jeju)
Jeju Island’s natural beauty, semi-tropical climate and distinct, traditional culture provide a laid-back beach environment for meeting professionals who want to give their delegates a way to fully unwind at the day’s end.

Changwon Exhibition Convention Center (CECO)
Changwon is rapidly gaining a reputation as South Korea’s eco-city. It is home to the production facilities for numerous international companies, and is a great location for MICE planners organizing industrial or environmentally themed events.

Kim Dae Jung Convention Center (KDJCC), Gwangju
Gwangju is the home town of the former President and Nobel Peace Laureate, Kim Dae-jung, after whom the state-of-the-art convention center in named. Gwangju was the host site of the World
Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in 2006 and the World Women Peace Forum in 2007.

Daejeon Convention Center (DCC)
Daejeon, Korea’s second administrative capital, is a leading city in the field of science and technology. Relatively new to the convention industry, the city is equipped with a superb transportation infrastructure, state-of-the-art convention facilities and a wide selection of attractions and accommodations.
