- Pittsburgh’s LEED platinum certified David L. Lawrence Convention Center established a waystation for monarch butterflies on the center’s north terrace. Each summer, the butterflies migrate South across North America to Mexico, stopping to lay eggs along their path. Along the way, stations provide milkweed and nectar plants for the butterflies, allowing them to continue their journey. For more information, visit www.visitpittsburgh.com.
