The Baton Rouge River Center (225.389.3030; www.brrivercenter.com) recently wrapped up a renovation and expansion, adding six breakout rooms, more prefunction space and a new 70,000-square-foot exhibition hall. The hall can be combined with the arena for more than 100,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space. The entire complex, including the Theatre for the Performing Arts, offers more than 200,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
The L’Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge (225.215.7777; www.lbatonrouge.com) opened last year with 205 guest rooms, a 13,000-square-foot event center, a 1,000-square-foot meeting room, a boardroom and outdoor festival grounds that can accommodate up to 2,500. The gaming floor offers 1,500 slot machines plus poker and table games.
In Bossier City, the 177-room Hilton Garden Inn and 114-suite Homewood Suites by Hilton Shreveport/Bossier City (318.759.1950; www.hiltongardeninn.hilton.com) will open in December with approximately 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
The Margaritaville Resort Casino (www.margaritavillebossiercity.com) will open next summer in Bossier City with a 396-room hotel, 30,000 square feet of gaming space, a 900-seat entertainment venue, a spa, a fitness center and a Margaritaville restaurant.
