Chebeague Island Inn has announced the acquisition of ‘68 South,’ a spacious home located directly across the street from the Inn. With four bedrooms and 1.5 baths, the house can accommodate up to nine adults, making it a great option for families or groups looking for the experience of staying at the Inn, but in need of space beyond that of a traditional hotel room.
Built in 1900, beautifully renovated, and topped by a striking Mansard roof, 68 South (pictured on right) rests on nearly a half-acre of land with a private backyard perfect for parties, barbeques and lawn games. Inside, 2,154 square feet of interior space offers all the comforts of a home including a fully-equipped kitchen, laundry room, fireplace, flat screen and satellite TV, all with spectacular views.
Rates at 68 South start at $1,200 per night for four adults/ $100 charge per additional adult. Wedding parties tying the knot in the year ahead will enjoy a flat rate of $3,500 for five nights with up to nine adults. To ensure availability for 2013, book by December 31st.
Chebeague Island Inn and 68 South are conveniently located just off the coast of Maine, accessible via ferry or water taxi: just 15 minutes from Portland or Yarmouth; 90 minutes from downtown Boston; and a 45-minute flight from JFK-PWM.
