This summer will signify a new phase for Hyatt’s Andaz brand as it unveils Andaz Maui, located on 15 acres of southwestern coastline and the first resort property for the brand.
“Andaz Maui at Wailea bridges the character of Hawaii with the experiences travelers seek when they visit great destinations around the world – personalized, uncomplicated service and a rich understanding of the local neighborhood,” said Michael Stephens, general manager of the resort. “We look forward to expressing the gracious spirit of Hawaii and inviting guests to indulge in their own personal sense of comfort and style while creating own inspiring experiences in Maui.”
Key Elements of the resort:
• Neighborhood – Located along Mokapu Beach, Andaz Maui at Wailea will be situated on a 1.2-mile-long oceanfront beach steps away from top restaurants, shops, entertainment, championship golf courses, water sport adventures and more.
• Accommodations – The resort will feature 297 guest rooms and suites, including seven luxurious, three- to five-bedroom villas inspired by the fashion, art and music that influence today’s Hawaii.
• Dining – Acclaimed Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto will open the resort’s signature restaurant, Morimoto Maui, which will focus on the seamless integration of traditional Japanese culinary techniques with local, Hawaiian ingredients. The resort will also offer a second full-service restaurant called Ka’ana Kitchen (“to share”) as well as two poolside venues and a 24-hour Hawaiian food, beverage and retail market.
• Spa – The entrance to the Spa will be the Apothecary Lounge, where customizable products and treatments will be blended by the on-site herbalist. A private pool, salon services, retail shop and fitness center will be available to guests.
• Amenities – The resort will feature multiple cascading infinity pools overlooking the ocean, pool-side cabanas and an on-site water activities center.
• Meetings & Events – The resort will feature more than 15,000 square feet of elegant indoor and outdoor event space including six indoor event Andaz Studios and three outdoor beachfront event lawns.
