Amelie’s French Bakery has a loyal following ranging from locals to movie stars. Other Amelie’s goodies made a guest starring appearance in the train car scene of The Hunger Games, which was filmed in and around Charlotte. Mac’s Speed Shop is frequented by a range of foodies, including famous chefs Mario Batali and Rick Browne. Mac’s is consistently rated as some of the best barbecue in Charlotte, and their sauces are available for purchase.
