SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.
Kimpton’s Hotel Monaco in San Francisco, in the heart of the city’s theater district, has completed a substantial upgrade of the property.
All of the hotel’s 201 guest rooms and suites have been completely transformed by design firm Andrea Dawson Designs, Inc. Guest rooms now feature elaborate French Art Nouveau headboards and luxurious silk pillows. Linen drapery bordered with a traditional Indian block print motif complement the room’s bold graphic of laser-cut striped wallpaper and trompe-l’oeil cabinetry.
Much of the lobby artwork that was originally curated for the hotel in 1995 has been integrated into the new design, including The Tree of Life sculpture, created by acclaimed artist Albert Guibara.
The Monaco also offers guests an on-site fitness center and spa, which includes a steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi, and more than 7,000 square feet of meeting and event space perfect for any occasion. All events are catered by Kimpton’s The Grand Café Brasserie & Bar, located adjacent to the hotel.
