Amy Harris has been named director of sales at the Austin Convention Center, where she will manage sales and contracting units.
She comes to the convention center from the Travaasa Resort and Spa, also in Austin, where she served as director of sales.
Harris has two decades of sales experience and previously served as director of regional accounts and director of group sales at the Barton Creek Resort and Spa.
She also worked in sales positions with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in both Austin and Boston.
