SAN DIEGO, Calif.
The waterfront Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, the largest ‘green’ hotel in Southern California and the only full-service hotel in the nation with a Gold Level Green Seal status, has completed a $2 million soft goods refresh to all 348 guest rooms in the hotel’s Bay Tower.
The project, which began in November 2012, included guest room updates ranging from new carpet, furniture re-upholstery, new task chairs, UV window treatments and bathroom refreshes of new bathtubs, fixtures and wall covering. Hallway carpeting, lighting and wall covers throughout the Bay Tower were also redone.
The outdoor Bay Tower Lounge Patio was also revitalized during the three-month project to better highlight the hotel’s views of San Diego Bay, downtown San Diego and Point Loma. A Starbucks coffee kiosk was added adjacent to the hotel lobby and renovation plans for the Bay Tower’s main dining room are being scheduled for later in 2013.
The property also upgraded the Bay Tower fitness center, which doubled in size, and introduced Sheraton Fitness by Core Performance.
The Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina features over 1,050 guest rooms and suites, over 140,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, four restaurants, three outdoor swimming pools, free shuttle service to and from the San Diego airport and the Link@Sheraton. It is located at 1380 Harbor Island Drive in San Diego.
