Delaware
The Delaware Tourism Office unveiled the Delaware Culinary Trail trail this year, linking 24 restaurants throughout the state. The trail will have a passport system and offer prizes, similar to the state’s Geocaching Trail, History Trail and Wine and Ale Trail.
Maryland
The new contemporary wing is up and running at the Baltimore Museum of Art. The first phase of a $24.5 million renovation also refreshed 16 galleries and added the museum’s first smart phone tour. Museum facilities including the restaurant and theater are available for rental.
The city of Havre de Grace plans to renovate its Opera House in its Arts & Entertainment district. The $2.6 million project is projected to begin this year and will expand conference and meeting capabilities and enhance ADA accessibility.
New Hampshire
The 234-room Mountain Club on Loon completed a $9 million renovation. The Mountain Club can host groups and conferences of up to 250 attendees.
Woodstock Inn & Brewery in North Woodstock underwent a $3 million expansion, adding a 150-seat function hall. Woodstock Station seats 300 people and the upscale Clement Room Grill seats 60.
New York
Manhattan’s New York Palace hotel began a $120 million redesign. The first phase will include a $25 million update of the Towers and its private reception area on the top 14 floors of the hotel. The rooms are suites will be completed in June, followed shortly by the lobby.
Hotel Chandler in Manhattan’s Flatiron district debuted a $10 million renovation of guest rooms and public spaces last year, which will be followed this spring by the opening of the Juni restaurant, a private dining room and executive meeting space. The luxury property offers 138 rooms and suites.
Herald Square welcomed the new Pennsylvania 6 restaurant. The name is a tribute to the old phone number of the nearby Pennsylvania Hotel. The 5,500-square-foot restaurant offers a raw bar, artisanal cocktails and space for private parties and corporate events.
