- The Richardson Romanesque J.A. Webb building, which was built in 1878, opened last year as a hotel, the Lofts on Pearl. The boutique property features 32 loft-inspired suites containing either one or two bedrooms with a full kitchen, gas fireplace and marble bathroom with large soaking tub. All guests receive a complimentary continental breakfast available daily at Brawler’s Back Alley Deli, located within the Pearl Street Brewery two doors down from the hotel. The Webb Building has banquet facilities that accommodate group needs.
- The boutique Hotel @ The Lafayette opened in May 2012 with 57 rooms, including one- and two-bedroom suites, mini-suites and two bridal suites. The first floor offers restaurants, banquet space and retailers.
Niagara Falls, Ontario
- The Hilton Hotel and Suites Niagara Falls/Fallsview expects to finish a renovation of its 500 guest rooms by the end of June.
- The Sheraton on the Falls Hotel & Conference Centre plans to finish a soft goods upgrade in its conference center and guest room updates by the end of June.
- The Niagara Falls History Museum reopened in July 2012 after completing a $12 million addition and renovation.

- The Niagara Falls Culinary Institute opened at the end of 2012. The venue offers classes, tours and on-site eateries.
