ATLANTA
Sonesta International Hotels Corporation today announced its newest hotel in the Atlanta area, the 426-room Sonesta Gwinnett Place. Scheduled to come under Sonesta management next month, this full service hotel is located in the Atlanta suburb of Duluth and currently known as the Atlanta Marriott Gwinnett Place.
Sonesta Gwinnett Place is in the heart of the Gwinnett Place neighborhood, just northeast of Atlanta. The 17-story hotel is the largest in Gwinnett County and its 426 guest rooms include 15 suites and three concierge floors. The hotel features 18 function rooms offering more than 16,000 square feet of meeting and event space and the hotel’s 8,000-square-foot Georgia Ballroom accommodates up to 1,000 guests. In addition, the hotel offers a steakhouse, lounge and casual dining restaurant, swimming pool, health club, sundeck and free parking.
The hotel is also located near several entertainment venues including the Gwinnett Arena, the Performing Arts Centre and the AAA Gwinnett Braves Coolray Field.
