On the off-chance the group runs into inclement weather while convening in Myrtle Beach, there are also indoor options for fun away from the meeting room.
“Myrtle Beach offers world-class live entertainment for any audience,” says Kimberly Miles, spokeswoman for the Myrtle Beach Area CVB. “Whether you’re taking a musical trip back in time or enjoying on-stage acrobatics, the Myrtle Beach area’s live entertainment venues and shows are crowd-pleasing and exceptional, providing the perfect way to end a group’s day.”
The musical trip back in time Miles refers to is the Good Vibrations show at the Carolina Opry. It’s a 90-minute, no-intermission show of music and comedy from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s.
And the on-stage acrobatics can be found at the Palace Theatre during a show called Illusions of Magic.
Groups can discover hands-on fun and education at Ripley’s Aquarium, where Miles says they can enjoy hourly dive shows, marine science classroom presentations and viewing thousands of colorful and unusual fish.
Also, it’s worth noting, corporate events are accommodated at the aquarium, including strolling cocktail parties, wine tastings, meetings and team building.
Featuring more than 100 interactive exhibits, including an indoor ropes course and laser tag, is WonderWorks, which also features Soar and Explore, a zip line adventure outside.
“WonderWorks can challenge any group as an amusement park for the mind,” Miles says.
And last but not least is the Myrtle Beach SkyWheel, which is located outside on the boardwalk but provides an indoor experience.
“Standing 200 feet above sea level, the SkyWheel is the largest observation wheel on the East Coast, offering breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean rain or shine with its temperature-controlled glass gondolas,” Miles says.
