West Belmont Place at The National Conference Center was recently awarded “Best Venue” at the 18th Annual ISES Capital Awards Gala. The event, hosted each year by the International Special Events Society, celebrates and honors the best of the best in the special events industry.
The National Conference Center, in Leesburg, Va., won the “Best Venue” award by sharing the details of a traditional Indian wedding that took place on the property last year. The wedding was attended by more than 300 guests and included many different elements throughout the day. The event utilized many of the facilities available at NCC, including the courtyard patio, covered portico, pre-function space, ballroom and a large number of guest rooms. NCC also provided decorative up-lighting, table enhancements and banquet staff.
The event began at 2 p.m. with a baraat, the groom’s procession to the wedding venue. The baraat was followed by a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony on the courtyard patio which was decorated with pink and white paper lanterns for the event. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed an ice cream reception which was followed by a cocktail hour in the pre-function space of the ballroom. The event ended at midnight after dinner and dancing in the ballroom at NCC.
