WASHINGTON, D.C.
The U.S. Travel Association (U.S.T.A) has announced locations for its next seven annual International Pow Wow (IPW) marketplaces, locking in host cities that span America through 2020. The future host cities are:
• Chicago – 2014 (last hosted in 1998)
• Orlando, Fla. – 2015 (last hosted in 2010)
• Miami – 2016 (last hosted in 2009)
• Washington, D.C. – 2017 (first-time host)
• Denver, Col. – 2018 (last hosted in 1991)
• Anaheim, Calif. – 2019 (last hosted in 2007)
• Las Vegas – 2020 (the 2013 host)
"We are bringing the largest generator of inbound travel to some of America's most remarkable destinations," said Roger Dow, president and CEO of the U.S. T.A. "IPW creates tremendous value for all attendees – buyers, sellers and media. This landmark event generates an estimated $3.5 billion in future travel to the United States, with host cities and states further benefiting from the exposure it provides."
IPW is an international marketplace featuring more than 1,000 U.S. travel organizations from every region of the U.S. (representing all industry category components) and about 1,300 international and domestic buyers from more than 70 countries, conducting business negotiations that result in future U.S. travel.
