Formerly known as the Kyoto Grand Hotel and Gardens, the Doubletree by Hilton Los Angeles Downtown opened last year with a renovated Japanese-inspired rooftop garden, now the property’s definitive outdoor event and meeting space. Significant upgrades were also made to the guestrooms, public spaces, meeting and event spaces, business center and fitness center.

Newport Beach-based Broughton Hotels recently opened The Moment, with 39 guest rooms, one suite and the Moment Deck & Bar, a 2,000-square-foot rooftop space with views of the Hollywood Hills. Rooms are decked out with accent walls in orange, green or purple.

Located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, the Luxe City Center Hotel revamped its 162 guest rooms and suites, and completed renovations of its restaurant and bar last year. Located near L.A. LIVE, the property features a 3,000-square-foot ballroom, on-site event planning and four catering management services.

The L.A. Hotel Downtown recently morphed into the Hyatt Regency Los Angeles Downtown following a $20 million upgrade. Renovations brought an all-new modern look to the hotel and upgrades to its 400 guest rooms and 69 suites, public spaces, meeting and event areas, business center, fitness center, restaurants and grand lobby.

Located across the street from The Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), the new $100 million Broad Los Angeles will bring a major new museum to downtown to display Eli and Edythe Broad’s wide-ranging collection of contemporary art. Scheduled to open next year, the three-story, 120,000-square-foot museum will feature a honeycombed veil wrapped around its exterior. Highlights for groups will include nearly an acre of column-free gallery space and a lecture hall for up to 200 people.
