Central-West Tennessee's Hotel Happenings

The Music City Center opened in May, a sprawling convention center of 1.2 million square feet that includes a 350,000-square-foot exhibit hall and 57,000-square-foot grand ballroom. The venue also offers 90,000 square feet of meeting room space spread across approximately 60 meeting rooms. The venue is on track to be certified Silver Level LEED by the U.S. Green Building Council.

The Hutton Hotel was honored with the esteemed Four Star rating from Forbes in the 2013 Forbes Travel Guide. The property was also hailed as a Top Green Hotel by the guide. The Hutton boasts 247 guest rooms and 52 elegant suites, plus more than 13,000 square feet of function space.

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is taking bookings for several new event spaces that will debut in October, including a 10,000-square-foot event hall, the 800-seat CMA Theater, a terrace with skyline views and a private dining room. The forthcoming event spaces are part of the museum’s current expansion, which will also boost the museum’s current slate of function areas, which include the 11,000-square-foot Curb Conservatory, the Hall of Fame Rotunda and the 213-seat Ford Theater.

The Omni Nashville Hotel will open this fall across from the new Music City Center. The property will include 800 guest rooms and suites, over 80,000 square feet of meeting and event space, five culinary and entertainment venues and a rooftop urban pool deck with panoramic views.

The Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville unveiled a $17 million renovation and new restaurant and bar in May. Enhancements included remodeling the entire lobby, restaurant and bar, as well as renovating the corridors, guest room bathrooms and designer suites.
