Mark S. Andrew, regional vice president and general manager of the Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown was appointed chairman of the Green Meetings Industry Council, by the Sustainable Meetings Foundation.
The 2013-2014 Board of Trustees was also named.
Andrew has a number of initiatives planned to further the foundation's capital campaign, including the sale of an "Unspoiled" cookbook, featuring recipies from chefs based on food waste solutions.
