Basketville began as a family-owned company in Vermont in 1842 and has a storied tradition of hand-woven baskets, which were originally made by early U.S. settlers for farm work, using techniques they learned from Native Americans.
Although its manufacturing base has moved overseas, Basketville still creates sturdy handmade baskets using historic techniques. They can be used in countless ways around the home and make great local gifts for small groups, attendee recognition or VIP packages. The elegant baskets pair well with a bottle of wine from the Putney Mountain Winery, with a tasting room located inside Basketville’s Vermont store.
The large outlet is a landmark in Putney, selling the classic New England ash baskets, among many other wares.
