The Shangri-La Hotel, Paris opened a new Garden Wing, adding 20 guest rooms overlooking a private landscaped garden with views of the Eiffel Tower. The new wing extends from the hotel’s main building, a historic 19th century structure formerly inhabited by Prince Roland Bonaparte, Napoleon Bonaparte’s grandnephew. The property’s new room total is 101, and there are three dining outlets.
Meeting spaces include the Grand Salon, seating up to 350, complete with original chandeliers and a marble fireplace, in addition to other smaller, but equally elegant, high-ceilinged conference rooms.
The international brand has plans to open two new properties by the end of this year; the Shangri-La Hotel, at The Shard in London, and the Shangri-La Hotel, Doha in Qatar, with 202 and 272 guest rooms, respectively.
