South Carolina’s Charleston Place Hotel has a new “biscuit bar” program for guests, led by Chef Michelle Weaver, who heads the property’s Charleston Grill restaurant.
The Biscuit Bar is an authentic low-country culinary item, inspired by Weaver’s own upbringing. She is an Alabama native and grew up cooking with fresh ingredients, with biscuits as a staple in her diet.
She views biscuits as a “canvas for infinite flavor profiles” and delights patrons with creative toppings, from savory foie gras, scallions, kimchi and salmon to sweet truffled honey and s’mores.
The 400-room luxury hotel offers 40,000 square feet of meeting space.
