Earlier this year, Duluth International Airport in Duluth, Minn., unveiled its new $78 million passenger terminal after three years of construction. The 110,000-square-foot terminal is LEED Silver certified and added a 400-seat passenger waiting area and two baggage terminals.
Since the opening, the airport reports that its passenger numbers are up 5 percent over 2012, with more than 77,700 people passing through from January to March, 2013.
Duluth International is serviced by United, Delta and Allegiant, with round-trip nonstop flights to destinations including Chicago, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Detroit, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Orlando.
