BOULDER COUNTY, Colo.
As of Friday afternoon, Sept. 13, the flooding situation in the Boulder, Colo., area remained severe, with heavy rains expected throughout the weekend.
Four fatalities had been confirmed to date, and many mountain communities remained completely isolated, with no water, septic or sewer. Strong progress had been made in evacuating the town of Lyons, which was also without power.
The number of unaccounted individuals had risen to 80, and essentially all local school athletic events for the weekend have been cancelled or postponed indefinitely.
