In early 2013, Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa completed a renovation of its 487 guest rooms and 60,000 square feet of meeting space. The AAA Four Diamond property is continuing the $30 million upgrade project by refreshing the lobby, restaurant, patio and poolside cabanas.
The former Four Points Sheraton reopened as Aloft Tucson University in April after completing significant renovations. The 154-room property is located downtown and offers 1,723 square feet of meeting space divided between two rooms.
Ground was broken in early 2013 on an 89-room Candlewood Suites property on River Road.
Yuma
Best Western Coronado Motor Hotel completed a five-year renovation in August. The historic 126-room property was built in 1938.
The 80-suite SpringHill Suites Yuma finished a property-wide renovation in December 2012. The hotel has two meeting rooms.
Best Western Plus InnSuites Yuma Mall Hotel & Suites is undergoing a phased renovation that is scheduled for completion in 2015. The property has 166 guest rooms and 3,700 square feet of meeting space.
Hampton Inn & Suites Yuma finished an upgrade in November 2012. The hotel has 90 guest rooms and 2,050 square feet of meeting space.
