Portland, Ore., is a beer town, so there is no lack of options for a post-meeting brew, but the Deschutes Brewery brew pub in the Pearl District has tons of seating and delicious fare, complete with an extensive gluten-free menu. (The gluten-free bread served with the portabella burger was delectable.) Unique dishes include clams, elk meatballs and chocolate chip walnut cookies all prepared with the popular Black Butte beer.
Deschutes’ main brewery, with two event spaces, is located three hours south in Bend, Ore. The brewery offers free tours and the Mountain Room can hold 80 for dinner or 150 for cocktails. As the room’s name implies, there are fantastic views of the Cascade Range from the large deck. The 100-person Tap Room features 16 Deschutes beers on tap.
