Steamboat Springs Resort Expands Revamp

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo.

Officials at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort & Villas have announced they will be investing an additional $8.25 million in property renovations and upgrades this fall. This new project is in addition to the resort's current $8.2 million redevelopment, which will result in the addition of 56 new, luxury Mountain Suites set to debut in December 2013.

The latest round of improvements has just begun, and aim to bring a more welcoming, relaxing and enjoyable ambiance to several areas of the resort. One of the largest pieces of the project will be the complete makeover of the outdoor pool area. From deck to décor, the pool renovation will result in a mountainside oasis featuring the addition of stone fireplaces, in-pool hot tub and cabanas where guests can enjoy an outdoor massage. Additionally, the pool area will now flow directly into the new Breezeway Café, offering poolside drinks, snacks and sandwiches just a few steps away.

The fitness center will be expanded with the addition of new men's and women's locker rooms, steam rooms and Life Fitness cardio and weight equipment. The resort is also adding a snowmelt system to the length of the front driveway in order to provide ski-season guests with a more welcoming, safer arrival experience.

During these projects, the Sheraton's front drive, underground parking garage and pool area will be closed. Reinforcing the resort's commitment to guest safety and convenience, alternative arrangements have been made to accommodate guest parking and arrival via an adjacent parking garage; signs will be posted, and Sheraton bellmen will be at the ready to assist guests.
