During a stay at The Boulders, a Waldorf Astoria Resort outside of Scottsdale, Ariz., I had the pleasure of participating in a “Desert Photography Tour” with resident photog Linda Covey. Here are some of her best shots of the stunning natural flora and fauna surrounding the property.

Linda Covey is The Boulders’ resident nature photographer and leads the resort’s Desert Photography Tours. She guides guests on a two-hour tour to explore the desert’s most pristine scenic areas while providing useful photography tips along the way, including suggestions about camera angles, photo composition and lighting. Taking guests to some of the area’s more “off the beaten path” locales, her guests encounter wildlife like javelina, lizards, coyotes and even bobcats, along with a myriad of colorful birds. Nature lovers also cherish shots of unique cacti and unusual rock formations, and take home their own keepsake photos to provide lasting memories.
