The Hilton Sandestin is a great group escape on Florida's Gulf Coast

The Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa launched a $12.5 million renovation that will update 200 rooms in the resort’s spa tower and add ocean views to the lobby.

In February, the Hilton Sandestin completed a smaller, $5.5 million renovation of its other 400-room tower, redesigning the Segar’s fine dining restaurant and modernizing 32,000 square feet of meeting space.

The Northwest Florida Gulf Coast property offers 600 guest rooms and is part of the 2,400-acre Sandestin resort, which also includes the meetings-friendly Grand Sandestin Hotel.

The Grand Sandestin offers a conference center and neighbors the bustling Village of Baytowne Wharf shopping and entertainment complex, an easy evening escape for attendees with countless bars, restaurants and shops.

I visited the property in September for one of our hosted Meetings Focus Live! events and loved the property’s complimentary bike and kayak rentals for guests. Unlike the rest of Florida, the Gulf Coast’s busiest tourism season is the summer, so September and October are great times to host events in the region, as tourists leave and rates drop.
