I’m an excellent parallel parker. It’s even listed as a skill on my LinkedIn profile, because that’s how I roll.
2. Have you ever witnessed a “meeting disaster?”
I held a meeting in New Orleans, in the heat of June, and the power went out. No PowerPoints, no microphones and NO AIR CONDITIONING! The great part was that the lack of PowerPoint meant that all the pretense and lecture went away, and what took its place was organic collaboration.
3. If you weren’t involved with meetings, what job would interest you?
Ghost hunter! I lived in a house that was haunted! I only share the creepy tales after an adult beverage or two, though.
4. What’s your most indispensable piece of advice for planners?
Don’t ever stop networking, contributing and learning.
