Spray-paint artist Chor Boogie has been painting professionally for more than 12 years and now travels the world for exhibitions and collaborations. He recently showcased his art (don’t call it graffiti) in San Francisco at Project One (P1), a unique venue that runs a series of rotating mural displays called Project One Walls.
The 3,200-square-foot warehouse in the city’s design district can host large events such as DJ shows, but the setting is small enough to allow attendees to truly spend time with the art.
Chor’s art reflects his mastery of the “inverted can” spray painting technique, which decreases the pressure of the paint and allows him to add detail to his pieces, which are designed to reflect creativity, self-expression and originality.
He is passionate about the history of street art, which has been gaining respect, and aims to create colorful pieces in “museums on the street.”
P1 can host 50 people for happy hour and art viewings or up to 200 people for a corporate event.
Located two miles from Moscone Center, it is an accessible off-site for conference groups as well as executive retreats, workshops and product launches.
