Chicago Hotel Debuts ‘Fiscally Responsible’ Meetings

CHICAGO

The Renaissance Blackstone Chicago has played host to a dozen U.S. presidents earning it the name, “The Hotel of Presidents,” and the hotel’s ambassadors will make any group feel as if they are taking a meeting in the Oval Office. In an effort to increase meeting planners’ approval ratings among their “constituents,” The Renaissance Blackstone Chicago Hotel is offering The Fiscally Responsible Meeting package fit for the President.

“At The Renaissance Blackstone Chicago every group is as important as a Presidential entourage and we are committed to helping meeting planners create memorable and productive meetings within their budget,” said Kim Corrigan general manager of The Renaissance Blackstone Chicago. “The Fiscally Responsible Meetings package is ideal for a board meeting or smaller group who require Presidential-level service.”

The package is now available on an open-ended basis, and details are as follows:

-   Meetings will be “sequestered” in the POTUS Board Room, which offers ultra-modern table, chairs and AV features in a classic setting on the top floor of the hotel

-   Private Presidential chef will fuel your think tank with working breakfast, lunch, morning break and late afternoon cocktails inspired by presidents who have stayed at the Blackstone, such as a 7 and 7 and chicken pot pie, which were favorites of Warren Harding, or a Beefeater Martini and Clam Chowder popular at the White House during Camelot.

-   Presidential tech support detail includes A/V setup of flipchart, plasma screen and wireless internet

-   An entourage of at least 10 guestrooms/night (maximum 14) is required and includes one upgrade to Presidential Suite

-   All guests will stay on the Club Level of the hotel -- the same floor as the Board Room

-   Groups will be ensured “secret service” throughout their stay by the attentive Blackstone ambassadors!

The Renaissance Blackstone Chicago Hotel is located on Michigan Avenue with views of Chicago’s lakefront and steps from Grant Park/Millennium Park, the financial and theater district of the Loop and many other local attractions. More than 11,000 square feet of event space offer options for functions, and hotel has 332 spacious guest rooms and more than 1,600 pieces of original artwork by talented local artists decorating the common rooms.
