New Management for Columbus Westin

COLUMBUS, Ohio

Ultima Hospitality, an investment and hotel management company, has taken over the management of The Westin Columbus Hotel in Columbus, Ohio. The quickly growing hotel management firm has been awarded the contract as its real-estate affiliate, Waterton Commercial Properties, takes 100 percent ownership of the property today.

"The Westin Columbus Hotel underwent a dramatic $15 million renovation in 2008. This is a great advantage, granting Ultima Hospitality the opportunity to take the hotel to the next level in terms of guest satisfaction," says Mark Zettl, chief operating officer of Ultima Hospitality. The Westin Columbus presents a mix of the old and new style, providing guests the opportunity to enjoy architectural panache from a different era with the suitability of modern amenities. Guests have access to more than 12,000 square feet of meeting space that accommodates a variety of meetings and events. The property also boasts an appealing Grand Ballroom, serving as the city's premier event site.

The Westin Columbus is home to High Street Grill and Thurber's Restaurant. High Street Grill is a neighborhood restaurant offering the finest local ingredients in the mix of familiar dishes. Thurber's Restaurant is infused with the history of Columbus, offering lunch, dinner and happy hour with the option of patio seating.
